New Light World, a large-sized department store jointly invested by Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Beijing Hualian Group, was opened at China Central Place in CBD on April 19. With a floor area of 180,000 sqm and business area of 120,000 sqm, it is the China¡¯s largest single-structured department store with total investment of RMB 750 million and each side holding 50% of the shares.
The opening ceremony drew the attention of Mr. Wu Tung-hsing, chairman of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, Mr. His Pan-hsiung, president of Mitsukoshi Ltd, and Mr. Wu Xinyang, general manager of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi.
Since its opening, New Light World had drawn the attention of 78 global brand stores, including 42 international brands such as DUNHILL, BV and ANNASUI to set up the concept store, and 53 brands such as JACOBS, MIKIMOTO and FRANCKMULLER to set up the shoppe in Beijing.
