Recently the Beijing International Copyright Center (BICC) starts to operate in Beijing CBD. The presentation meeting draws the attention of over 60 honored guests, including Mr. Ilpo Sarikka, Counsellor (Commercial) of Embassy of the Republic of Finland in China, Mr. Park Young-Dae, Counsellor (Cultural) of Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China, representatives of embassy and consulate of US, UK, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Finland, Ukraine and Italy in China, representatives of European Union, representatives of US, Japan, South Korea and China copyright authorities, members of Beijing CBD Chamber of Finance, Beijing CBD Chamber of Media and Chaoyang District Cultural Creative Industry Association, organizations and enterprises related to cultural creative industry, legal circle, and media.
BICC that is dedicated to the integrated copyright supply chain and emphasizes particularly on the new exchange of non-material copyright begins to run in the last ten days of May 2007, and is formally operated at the Jing Guang New World Center in June. The Phase II Project in Beijing CBD will become the world-class copyright exchange infrastructures.
The establishment of BICC projects is advantageous to break through the cultural creative industry chains in Beijing, enhance the independent innovation of cultural creative industry in Beijing, improve the cultural convergence and radiation in Beijing, and strength the function of Beijing cultural center.
