In February of 2007, the Beijing TV Center Project, one of the important projects in Beijing, presented itself to the world. The 258-meter main building will become a new landmark on Chang'an Avenue in the capital.
Located in Beijing CBD, the Beijing TV Center will be the new home to BTV. The 258-meter, steel-structured main building is a comprehensive building with 41 floors above the ground and 3 underground floors. At present, the electromechanics installation of the Beijing TV Center Project has basically completed. The TV Center is expected to have pilot broadcast function before October 1st of this year, and is estimated to broadcast formally on January 1st, 2008.
