On January 3th, 2007, the National Symphony Orchestra from Berlin of Germany gave a performance entitled ¡°The New Year¡¯s Concert of Beijing Central Business District (CBD¡ª¡ªThe Night of Oriental Media¡±.
This grand magnificent philharmonic concert was co-sponsored by Chamber of Media Industry & Finance of Beijing CBD. About 1500 people who are major leaders of concerned departments of the municipal & central government such as Yang Weiguang, Vice-chairman of China Federation of Literature and Art Circles(CFLAC), Chairman of Chinese TV Artists' Association and President of Chamber Media Industry of Beijing CBD; Liu Aiqin, Head of Beijing TV Station; Zhao Dongming, Director of Beijing Radio & Television Bureau etc., relevant leaders of Chaoyang District as Chief Executive of Chaoyang District Cheng Lianyuan etc., leaders & representatives of member organizations of Chamber of Media Industry & Finance of Beijing CBD as well as honored guests from all circles who always concern about and support the development of Beijing CBD was invited to enjoy the unique charm of this grand music event.
Five years since China¡¯s entry into the World Trade Organization, under support of municipal committee & municipal government plus correct leadership of district committee, CPC & district government, Beijing Central Business District has entered a development stage that is to improve general economy and enhance financial service function. The development configuration with international finance as locomotive, centralized development of cultural innovation industry and modern service industry as the dominant has taken its general shape. And Beijing CBD has been listed as one of the six key functional areas to be developed during the ¡°11th Five-year¡± by the municipal Party committee and municipal government.
To better impulse the assembling development of international media & international finance industry of Beijing CBD and promote the integration of culture & economy, Chamber of Finance and Chamber of Media Industry have been established one after another in 2005 and 2006. Based on them, communication & cooperation between government & enterprise as well as enterprise & enterprise have been improved, investment service level & city management level have been upgraded in order to speed up the formation of international modern CBD, international finance functional area of the capital and concentration place of modern service industry.
