Up to the first quarter in 2006, legal person units that had stationed in CBD area totaled to 3,801, among which, the enterprises in service industry were 2,298, accounting for 60.46% of total number of enterprises, foreign-invested and Hong-Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises totaled to 635, accounting for 16.7%, and the employees of the enterprises reached 96,342. The CBD key industry-the financial industry, the cultural media industry had a good momentum of development.
In the first quarter of 2006, the total income of the enterprises in CBD area reached RMB 597.23 million yuan, an increase of RMB 32.16 million yuan and 5.69% over the same period of the previous year.
