| 5400-Meter Underpass Will Be Built in CBD |

On Feb. 14, the plan of CBD underpass has been determined already. The underpass is about 5,400 meters long and will connect the subway stations and the bus stations throughout the CBD area before 2008. According to the plan, two underpasses will finish their construction this year. One will connect the Peking Silvertie Center and the Onward Science & Trade Centre with a total length of 610 meters, which will be completed within this year. Another will connect Peking Silvertie Center and Zhong Huan Square with a length of 210 meters, which will start construction in the middle of this March and will complete at the end of this June. On the second floor underground, it will construct a parking area with 2.5 million m2, which could be divided into more than 60,000 parking lots. It will be under uniform management, breaking the individual management. Before 2008, the underpass length in CBD will reach 5,400 meters connecting both subways and bus stations.
