On December 28th, 2006, retail magnate Wal-Mart opened a store in Wanda Plaza, which is the fourth of its shops in Beijing. With a business area about 10000 m2 and a supply of about 20000 commodities, it provides more eating convenience for white collars near around targeting at consumer groups in CBD, makes a small increase in the proportion of luxury commodities and has parking space for about 500 autos.
The New World Department Store just above Wal-Mart will also go into business soon and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi of Taiwan is going to open a department store in China Central Place too.
