The 2006 City Security and Management International Forum was held on the afternoon of September 21 in the Dadu Conference Hall of China World Hotel, Beijing. This Forum was sponsored by the Beijing CBD Administration Commission and co-sponsored by the Beijing CBD Science and Technology Co.,Ltd. and the Public Security Research Centre of Tsinghua University. The Forum was hosted by Tong Keke, the Deputy Director of Chaoyang District. Governmental officials, experts, and scholars on security management as well as representatives from all walks of life from home and abroad attended the Forum and delivered excellent speeches, including Mr. Chen Jiaqiang, Commissar of Fire Department, Ministry of Public Security; Mr. Shan Chunchang, Counselor of the State Council; Professor Fan Weicheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Public Security Research Centre of Tsinghua University; Mr. Michelle •Henry, Director of La defense Paris (Paris CBD) Management Commission; and Mr. Richard•L•Jerry, Public Security Consultant of Illinois, USA. The Forum served as valuable experience and reference for Beijing CBD to further strengthen city security and management, promote economic development and social harmony and stability, and promote a harmonious society.
