| The Financial Service Industry in Chaoyang District Develops Favorably |

In the first half of the year in 2005, 105 financial enterprises in Chaoyang District totally realized 2.23 billion yuan¡¯s core business income with total profit of 310 million yuan. Among them, the incomes from the finance companies are the highest. And their contributions are the greatest. Their realized core business incomes account for 40.1% of Chaoyang District.
At present, the amount of foreign bank branches in Chaoyang District accounts for 62.5% of Beijing. Among them 80 percent are located in CBD. The number has reflected the orientation of CBD as the international finance and business center. In the first half year, the foreign banks realized total profit of 5.179 million yuan altogether with 4.6464 million yuan operating profit and 8% profit rate. In the income composition of foreign bank branches, the interest income accounts for 66.8% which is its main income. And the non-interest income, such as handling charge, accounts for 33.2% which is far higher than the 3% average level of domestic banks.
