| The Favorable Development of Finance Service Industry in Chaoyang District of Beijing |

In the first half of 2005, 105 financial enterprises in the Chaoyang District altogether earn 2.23 billion Yuan from main services with the total profit of 310 million Yuan. Among them, the financial companies have made 40.1% income contribution in the whole district, the highest from the main services. At present, the branches of foreign capital bank in the Chaoyang District account for 62.5% of the whole city, and 80% of these foreign capital banks are situated in the CBD region, which manifest the orientation of CBD as an international finance and business center. In the first half year, the foreign capital banks realize 51.79 million Yuan of the total profit, with 46.464 million Yuan of business profit and 8% of the average profit rate. In the income constitution of foreign capital bank branches, the interest income accounts for 66.8%, which is the main part; and the non- interest income such as the handling charge and so on accounts for the proportion of 33.2%, which is much higher than the average level of 3% in domestic banks.
