September 15 at 10:00 a.m.£¬opening ceremony of 6th Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival was held in China World Trade Center. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chen Gang, chief executive of People¡¯s Government of Chaoyang District. On behalf of sponsor institutions, Mr. Li Zhao, director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Mr. Raymond, coordinator of Asian and Pacific of Technical Assistance Department of WTO as well as Mr. Pascal Lamy, director general of WTO gave greeting speeches and read congratulation letters to VIP guests. Ms. He Luli, vice chairwoman of Standing Committee of People¡¯s Congress, Mr. Wang Qishan, mayor of Beijing Municipal Government, Mr. Heiner Flassbeck, director of Globalization Department of UN, Mr. Long Yongtu, Secretary general of Boao Forum for Asia and chairman of Beijing International Forum on CBD and Mr. Li Shixiang, secretary of Communist Party of China Chaoyang Committee, jointly started opening ceremony of the festival. About 300 guests of domestic and foreign government officials, representatives of commerce chambers, some members of People¡¯s Congresses and Chinese People¡¯s Political Consulting Conference of Chaoyang district, presidents of transnational companies, and economic experts and researchers attended the ceremony.
The 6th Business Festival sets up a new platform for Beijing CBD which has entered into 5-year development.
At the date of inauguration of 6th Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival, Mr. Jochim Zeller£¬Mayor of Mitte District, Berlin, opened a flight course for further friendship relations between China and Germany with an excellent gift ?C ¡°Berlin Bear¡±. Being conducted for 6 running years, Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival is now an important ¡°window¡± for international exchanges between China and the rest of the world. Nowadays, Chaoyang District has established closed sister relations with 22 cities in 17 countries all over the world.
