| Friendship District Relations set up between Chaoyang District and La Defense District of Paris |

In order to promote friendship relations between Chaoyang District of Beijing and La Defense District of Paris and learn advanced experience in CBD planning, construction, management from La Defense District, under invitation of Management Committee of La Defense District, a 6-peopel official delegation led by chief executive Chen Gang paid an official visit to La Defense District on August 1. The delegation received warm hospitality from district management committee. During the visit, both parties held an official meeting. Chief executive Chen Gang and director Michell Ruiheng gave ardent speeches on behalf of Chaoyang District and La Defense District respectively. Later, ¡°Agreement for Friendship Exchange¡± was signed by both parties, thus, friendship relations between two districts have been established. During the visit, the delegation also made detailed survey to infrastructure construction, underground transportation system and some projects under construction.
This visit turned a new page for friendship relations between two districts, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation in broader fields. Operation mode and concept of advanced management of La Defense District provide good references for development and construction of Beijing CBD in the future.
