The young Chinese Business Leaders around the World Meet for the First Time In the morning of January 8th, more than 400 domestic and overseas young business leaders from the US, Europe, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and Singapore, and so on, gathered in Beijing Kerry Center, to open up the curtain of the first Young Chinese Business Leaders Summit, which took the topics of Peacefully Grown China, New Century, and New Chinese Businessmen, aiming at World Opportunities for China, Global Integration of China, with the purpose to build up the platform for the global Chinese businessmen to have talk and contact, to establish up the commercial communication and cooperation system of the high efficiency and integrity, as well as to construct a commercial cycle full of energy, interaction and shared resources for the new generation of Chinese businessmen all over the world.
GDP in China Is Listing Up In the past over twenty years since opening up in China, the economic development in China has attracted the attention of the world. GDP was increased to 1.5 trillion US Dollars in 2004 from 1.41 trillion in 2003, at least listed at the sixth position around the world; the foreign trade was increased to over 1 trillion US Dollars in 2004 from 0.8512 trillion in 2003, up to the third or the fourth from the fifth in 2003 as estimated; foreign exchange reserve was increased to 540 billion from 400 billion in 2003, and the foreign exchange reserve in the mainland of China was listed at the second, in addition with Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, the foreign exchange reserve of China was listed at the top line. China is playing the key role on the economic development of the world, making the contribution of 20% for the global economic growth. "Several days ago, since the Legend purchased the PC business of IBM, someone is blazoning forth the China Threatening Theory. However, a series of facts indicate that the WTO without China is not the true WTO, however, after China entered into WTO, the voice of the developing countries is strengthened, being conducive to change some world trade rules under the guidance of the developed countries, being conducive to realize the south and north cooperation, being conducive to better realize the fair world trade." Cheng Siwei indicates that, in the nowadays world, the cooperation among different countries around the world is getting more and more close, and any country can't get away from the global economic track to independently develop. The reform and opening up in China has proved this trend; therefore, China need to apt to the globalization of the world economy, and need the world, in the same way, the world also need China.
The Labor Force Cost in Domestic China Is Less Than Four Percent of That in the US The year before last, when Cheng Siwei took part in a media round-table meeting of the Davos convention, a correspondent said "you Chinese have taken away our business, and our investment." Mr. Cheng Siwei answered that, "Sir, you are right, but I want to ask you, the hourly salary in American is 16 US Dollars, 4 in Mexico, and 0.5 in China, if you are an investor, what do your think?" that correspondent said "I am going for China too." I am telling you that China has the good quality but low cost labor force by means of the data" said Cheng Siwei, thus it can be seen that, the labor force in China is less than 4 percent of that in America.
The Chinese Labors Have the Best Quality among the Developing Countries According to the evaluation of the foreign investors, the Chinese workers have the best quality among the developing countries around the globe, intelligent, well learning, and diligent. In addition, China also makes a lot effort on improving the software and hardware investment environments. As for the hardware environment construction, we make use of the national debt to conduct the investment, to strongly enhance the construction of the infrastructure; therefore, the highway in China is totally 30,000 kilometers long, listing at the second in the world; the telephone owners in China have reached to 500 million, and the Internet users have been over 100 million. When delivered the speech in Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chen Siwei said the Internet service in China is better than that in Britain. Thus we can see that, since China has paid a lot to improve the infrastructure, both the software and the hardware environments have kept up the pace of the world; therefore, we can say that China is really a country with huge potential.
