The Fifth Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival will be held in Beijing, China from September 15 through 19, 2004.
This business festival will be co-organized by China Mayors Association, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality, Financial Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal People¡¯s Government, Bureau of Investment Promotion of Beijing Municipality, Business Management Department of the People¡¯s Bank of China, Institute of Financial Research of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Industry Divisional Affairs Committee of All China Youth Federation, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Beijing Sub-Council, People¡¯s Government of Chaoyang District, and Beijing CBD Administrative Commission.
Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival with the theme of "Business and Culture, Cooperation and Exchange" has been held every year for the past four years. The very first one successfully introduced the concept of Beijing CBD; the second one demonstrated the planning of Beijing CBD; and the third one put forward the concept of "CBD International Financial Service". The Fourth Festival proposed the idea of taking international financial service as the dominant sector in the Beijing CBD to develop modern service business. Over the years, this major event has gradually built up its unique brand name in terms of internationalization, professionalism, and orientation to the high-end markets. The Business Festival is large scale event and has provided tremendous business opportunities for all walks of life around China and the world to understand the Beijing CBD and the investment climate of Chaoyang District, as well as for seeking cooperative projects and establishing extensive business relationship with various investment partners.
Based on the core concepts of the previous four events, and with "Opportunity, Cooperation, Service and Development" as its theme, the Fifth Beijing Chaoyang International Business Festival will focus on the industrial development of Beijing Municipality and Chaoyang District. This event using strategic guidelines will optimize the development environment, the space layout of the city and the industrial structure as well as the industry development strategy of "Development Mix Planning for Block-based Development". Taking the strategic opportunity of "New Beijing, Great Olympics", this event, by organizing various types of programs, such as exhibitions, forums, investment talks, and cultural exchanges is designed to further promote the development of the modern service business. Specifically, it aims to promote international financial service as the pillar in the Beijing CBD sector and demonstrate to all the visitors and business people a new Beijing and a new Chaoyang, full of vigor, business activities, potentials for investment, international competitiveness and great hospitality.
